ISO 27001 is the world's best know standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS)

As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that we are adopting best practice information security principles throughout our organisation and supply chain, Globocol entered into the process of achieving ISO 27001:2022 certification over a year ago. That process was completed successfully in June 2023 following a two stage audit over three days conducted by independent auditing body NQA.

ISO/IEC 27001 is the world's best-known standard for information security management systems (ISMS). It defines requirements an ISMS must meet.

Conformity with ISO/IEC 27001 means that an organization or business has put in place a system to manage risks related to the security of data owned or handled by the company, and that this system respects all the best practices and principles enshrined in this International Standard.

ISO/IEC 27001 promotes a holistic approach to information security: vetting people, policies and technology. An information security management system implemented according to this standard is a tool for risk management, cyber-resilience and operational excellence. - ISO

The information security environment is not a static one. Globocol engages with CRK Consulting, information security specialists, to continually monitor our activities and those of our suppliers, to highlight potential risks and bring positive change to our business.

Globocol is ISO 27001 certified to the 2022 standard. We feel this gives us an important platform to further develop our applications and the services we offer to our clients.

The UK’s No.1 Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Summit for Sport is back, this year in Manchester

Following the success of the inaugural event in 2022, the Include Summit will return on 3rd and 4th May 2023, taking place at Manchester Central, one of the UK’s largest conference and events venues.

The Include Summit, co-organised by Inclusive Cultures Founding Director Jamie Hooper and Meji Media Events Group CEO Gurmej Pawar, will bring together key individuals and sports bodies all working towards achieving greater equality, diversity and inclusion in sport.

The event’s mission is to help get one million underprivileged and underrepresented young people taking part in sport, with the long-term aim of transforming the diversity of the sporting workforce.

“Last year’s inaugural event was such a monumental success that we had to bounce straight back with another landmark event next year,” says Jamie Hooper. “The atmosphere was absolutely electric with passion, enthusiasm, and determination to make a difference, and we can’t wait to get everyone together again.”

Once again, the event will aim to highlight the distinct and defined inequalities that still exist in sport from grassroots to international level participation, as well as across the workforce, the executive, and the boardroom.

The Summit’s agenda will feature keynote plenaries, panel discussions, and expert interactive workshops across two full days, along with inclusive sport showcases, a partner exhibition area, and networking opportunities, bringing together key people and sports bodies all working towards achieving greater equality, diversity, and inclusion in sport.

“This event provides the safe space to openly discuss all of the key issues surrounding equality, diversity and inclusion in sport, without fear of judgement, and without politics,” says Gurmej Pawar. “The Include Summit is an uplifting and inspirational event, designed to connect people together through their passion to make a difference, and to help offer more young people vital sporting opportunities."

"We cannot make progress across equality, diversity and inclusion in sport unless we are all working together; together within our organisations, together with other organisations, and together with the rest of the sector."

"Our ask is that you come and join us – whether it’s for the whole two-day conference, just 1 day or even half a day – but vitally, we ask that you attend with your EDI lead and board and exec EDI champions."
